Muscadine Bloodline is a Southern rock and country duo from Mobile, Alabama, who have built a loyal following through a sound that draws equally from Lynyrd Skynyrd and Brooks & Dunn. Made up of Charlie Muncaster (guitar, vocals) and Gary Stanton (guitar, vocals), the duo released their debut album Movin' On in 2020 and followed it with Dispatch to 16th Ave (2022), an album that earned them breakout attention across the Texas and Red Dirt circuit. Songs like "Porch Swing," "Low Hangin' Fruit," and "She's Got Wings" show a band that knows how to write for a live audience: big choruses, tight harmonies, and the kind of guitar work that rewards a crowd that came to hear the band actually play.

Special guest Jaid Joice opens the evening. Joice is an emerging country artist from Texas whose sound blends traditional country influences with a modern, rock-tinged delivery. The combination makes for a strong bill: two acts who understand the Texas live music audience and who deliver sets built for a Saturday night at an outdoor venue.

The venue

Stage 271 at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Grant, Oklahoma, is one of the newer additions to the region's live music landscape. Located just across the Red River from Texas on US-271, the venue offers an outdoor concert experience with a covered stage and a spacious lawn area. The setting is relaxed and open-air, the kind of place where the music carries across the Oklahoma prairie and the crowd spreads out under the sky. For anyone living in Lamar County, the drive to Grant is about an hour north on US-271, a straight shot through the Red River valley.

The Choctaw Casino & Resort in Grant offers dining and lodging on site, making it possible to build a full evening around the concert. Advance tickets are also available for purchase at the Cage inside the casino, and the box office opens at 5:30 PM on show day.

Why this matters for the area

Combined with the Choctaw Grand Theater in Durant, the Choctaw properties are programming an impressive range of national and regional touring acts. For residents of Paris and the surrounding area, that means multiple concert options within an hour's drive on any given weekend.
