LeAnn Rimes at Stage 271 in Grant

LeAnn Rimes has been a fixture of country music since she was a teenager, when her 1996 debut single "Blue" announced one of the most striking voices the format had produced in years. She became the youngest solo artist to win a Grammy, found a second life as a mainstream pop crossover with "How Do I Live" and "Can't Fight the Moonlight," and has spent the decades since touring steadily and expanding into acting and live performance. Her Christmas music has also become an annual staple, making a December show a fitting time on the calendar.

The venue

Stage 271 at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Grant is the region's destination live-entertainment room, an intimate theater setting that puts audiences close to the stage. The venue books a steady mix of country legends and rising acts, and it is the same room hosting Tanya Tucker and Marty Stuart in the same stretch of the season. Ticketmaster is the official ticketing agent for Choctaw shows, with the venue's event listings the best place to check availability.

Why it matters for the area

Grant sits about 50 minutes north of Paris, close enough that Stage 271 functions almost as a local big-time venue for Lamar County residents. A December Saturday with this level of touring talent is a reminder of how much live entertainment is reachable from a country property in Northeast Texas without planning a trip to a major metro.

If you're planning to go, note the 8:00 PM showtime and December date. The drive from 3870 County Road 45080 to Stage 271 runs about 50 minutes, easy for an evening show with no overnight stay.
