First Monday Trade Days has been part of North Texas life for generations. The Bonham edition, held on the trade grounds at the corner of Highways 121 and 56 next to Fort Inglish Park, draws vendors from across the region each month with four full days of buying, selling, and trading. The name comes from the old tradition of scheduling trade day on the first Monday of the month, and while the dates now stretch the weekend before, the spirit is unchanged.

What you will find

Expect the full range of trade days inventory: antiques and vintage tools, refurbished furniture, handmade crafts, quilts and fabric, farm and ranch equipment, collectibles, and snacks from the food vendors. The October edition lines up with the Fannin County Fair across town and the Bug Tussle Trek antique auto tour, so the first full weekend of October is a genuinely busy stretch in Bonham, all of it free to wander.

Why it matters for country living

For anyone considering acreage in Lamar or Fannin County, trade days is one of those rhythms that makes small-town life feel alive. It is a monthly reason to load up the truck, wander the aisles, and run into neighbors, and it is exactly the kind of community institution that shows up in the "what is there to do" conversation for newcomers.

The drive from 3870 County Road 45080 to the trade grounds runs about 30 minutes south down US 271. Admission and parking are free, and the market runs rain or shine.
